Discovery Vitality

As the Head of Design, I oversaw the Vitality website redesign project. Throughout my involvement in this project, I had to work closely with Marketing, Business and Systems to fulfil an important objective. This objective was to design a user-friendly site that allowed for easy navigation and offered up-to-date information on the latest health products. With co-creation sessions held and a high level mock up produced, I collated all this information and produced high level wireframes and customer journeys to help guide us through the design process.

A key task was to make sure that the layout design of the site was user-friendly and easy to navigate. It also had to be in line with the objective of the organisation in a way that allowed for a strong marketing presence in all fields.

By using tools such as Sketch and Figma, I was able to create really simple but effective layouts which allowed our product page content to shine through. This content included a well-designed typography, a strong photography emphasis and simple illustrations.

By using this layout approach, we were able to ensure that the Vitality brand was immediately recognisable to any person entering the website. I also liaised regularly with Marketing and Sales to make sure that this branding matched their objectives. This included ensuring that high-quality product photography was used throughout the site as well as logos and other brand assets which were used tastefully throughout.
